(1781-1855)
German author and translator. He wrote poetry and trans-lated Maimonides' Guide for the Perplexed, Bahya ibn Pakuda's Hovot ha-Levanot, and Issac Aboab's Menorat ha-Maor from Hebrew into German. He also translated Jewish liturgical works.
